As the holidays near, it’s time to start taking inventory of your gift wrapping supplies and setting up shop to wrap as efficiently as possible.

Many people set up gift wrapping stations over the holidays, or create permanent storage solutions to keep gift wrapping supplies handy year-round.

Here are Horderly’s favorite ways to organize gift wrapping supplies:

Back-of-the-Door

The Container Store’s Elfa system is the perfect solution to maximize door space, and also set up a functional gift wrapping station – they even have a preselected back-of-door solution with options specifically tailored to gift wrapping! Make sure to get the custom solution that specifically fits your needs and holds your supplies best!

Drawers

Drawers are a great way to store flat gift wrapping accessories like gift bags, tissue paper, bows and ribbons, and supplies like scissors and tape. Use lower drawers to store things like bows, ribbons, gift bags, and supplies like tape and scissors. You can also store gift wrap scraps here to use for wrapping small gifts – so that nothing goes to waste!

The Container Store also offers a gift wrap cart for those who don’t have back of door space or need the system to be portable! The cart has wheels, allowing you to roll the cart around the house wherever you decide to start wrapping gifts.

Gift Wrap Tube

Take advantage of vertical space and store your gift wrap in a vertical tube. This tube holds up to 16 rolls of large-core gift wrap, or many more small-core rolls. This is a great solution for small spaces, and can be stored in the garage or attic, too!

Get Creative with Built-Ins

If customizing your built-ins is an option, speak to a contractor about setting up horizontal rods to hang wrapping paper and ribbons! What used to be a built-in bookshelf is now a truly custom gift wrapping station!
